These regulators employ internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation. With adequate heatsink they can deliver output currents up to 1 amper e. Although designed primar ily as a fixed voltage regulator, these devices can be used with ex ternal components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents.
