The PT7714 ExcaliburTM power module is a 20-A integrated switching regulator (ISR) housed a 27-pin space-saving copper package. Operating from a 3.3V-input bus, the PT7714 produces a tightly regulated supply voltage that is programmable over the range, 0.8V to 1.575V. The output voltage is selected via a 5-bit input code in incremental steps of 25mV. This regulator is suitable for applications that employ the latest microprocessor and DSP products that require core supply voltages as low as 0.8V. The PT7714 incorporates output short-circuit protection, and a differential remote sense to compensate for voltage drop between the regulator and load.
