The SP3282EB is compatible with low voltage logic down to 1.8V using a logic select pin (VL) which conditions the logic inputs and outputs to be compatible with system logic. The SP3282EB uses an internal high-efficiency, charge-pump power supply that requires only 0.1F capacitors in 3.3V operation. This charge pump and Sipex's driver architecture allow the SP3282EB device to deliver compliant RS-232 performance from a single +3.3V to +5.5Vpower supply and additionally adhere to EIA/TIA-562 driver outputs levels down to a power supply voltage of 2.35V.
