The USB-Ethernet device integrates a 802.3u fast Ethernet controller with a USB interface for the host link. With the USB interface, a user doesn't need to shut down the power or remove the PC case when installing a NIC card. The users just simply plug the cable into the PC's USB port, then the 100 percent plug-n-play feature can ease the installation effort to the minimum. In addition, the software driver provides the NDIS interface, it is just like an ordinary NIC card utilizing the standard Windows APIs, such as Window Explorer and Network Neighborhood.
