The Molex Hawk termination machine is designed for use with two different Molex product lines with only a minor tooling change. This machine will assemble 2.54mm (.100") Pitch SLTM Flat Flexible Cable connectors to Flat Flexible Cable, Flexible Printed Circuitry and membrane switch tails, along with 2.54mm (.100") Pitch SL IDT ribbon cable assemblies with a production rate of up to 750 per hour, depending on the operator's skill. This machine has the ability to produce 950 assemblies per hour with the addition of a magazine tube loader, (contact Molex for more information on this option). The Hawk will handle 2 to 25 circuits, (circuit size of 2 must be and circuit size of 3 should be processed in chains of 2 or more to avoid feed jams), and has the option of a carrier breakoff for both product lines.
