The AAT3200 PowerLinearTM OmniPower low dropout (LDO) linear regulator is ideal for systems where a low-cost solution is required. This device features extremely low quiescent current which is typically 20A. Dropout voltage is also very low, typically 200mV. The AAT3200 has output shortcircuit and over-current protection. In addition, the device has an over-temperature protection circuit which will shut down the LDO regulator during extended over-current events.
