Its products, branded under Unitrode and Benchmarq, are sold throughout the world for a variety of computer, tele- and data- communications, defense/aerospace, industrial, and automotive applications.

    From October, 1999, Unitrode has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Texas Instruments
